My Words Were Meant for Rubbermaid

Tue Feb 6, 2007, 5:52 PM
  • Mood: Irritated
At this juncture, due in no small part to dA's uncanny ability to be simultaneously shady and inconsequential, I've decided to move my stuff into storage. Sorry, kid's, Mommy's gotta publish so she can get into grad school. That being said, I'm leaving up the crap that's already been published--that's right, all 3 of them. Woo hoo.

Anyway, no big loss, right? I specialize in neither prepubescent suicide lit nor vampire erotica, so I doubt that the absence of my modest ramblings will leave a noticeable crater in the rich, lurid landscape of our dearest dA.

I apologize if I appear to be a little testy about all of this, but come on, people. Forced end rhyme is not necessarily equal to a good poem, just as rehashing the same old cliches about love and death doesn't make me give a shit about anyone's personal plight...it just makes me think about day-old refried beans.

Are we doing this for intrinsic reasons, because it's a story that's never been told this way before and must be told? Or are we doing this to get people on the watch list or to snag the ever-coveted Daily Deviation?

Cultivate the art, not the ego.

And into storage we go...

These autistic kids—are they all from DA?

I was referring to something you mentioned earlier—"the autistic will inherit the Earth". Drawing upon the rampant idiocy on DA, I sought to imply how terrible it was while also inquiring a little more about what you meant by the quote.

It's actually pretty simple--I have a little brother with autism, and because he is far more kickass than "normal" people, I've become a pretty big fan of his and others like him.
:iconpublicsecrecy:
That's pretty cool.

your work is good. it takes alot for me to say that. So thanks for producing things that I can be moved to say that about.

Your work is, for the most part, really fucking good.

Keep it up. I'll try my best, too.

It ought to be illegal for an artist to marry. If the artist must marry let him find someone more interested in art, or his art, or the artist part of him, than in him. After which let them take tea together three times a week.

I knew your stuff was good! Finally got around to this. Talk with you soon! Emi

Thanks so much for dropping by. *Love* the flying squirrel! :D

The universe runs in cycles, meaning that focusing on the horizon means nothing because in the end all you're really doing is looking up your own ass, so just enjoy the walk.
